Jan. 24 — Park City Officer Levi Herring was asked by a citizen to check the welfare of a man in the 6300 block of North Scottsville after neighbors had not seen him outside recently. Officer spoke with the man by telephone.

Jan. 20 — Valley Center Sgt. Thomas Delgado, Sgt. Matt Vogt and Officers Jason Easley and Shannon assisted the sheriff's office with a disturbance at the Red Garter, 3400 W. 53rd North. The call was dispatched as two female dancers fighting. Officers discovered that one dancer was intimidated by another female. There was no fight, but one dancer did have an outstanding Derby warrant and was arrested by the sheriff's office.

Jan. 19 — Valley Center Officers Jason Easley and Shannon Meyer responded to the pond at Arrowhead Park, where a caller reported seeing kids playing on the ice. Four kids were found playing on the edge of the pond. As soon as they saw an officer, they started to run away. Officers called after them and talked to them about not running from police to not play on the ice. They were told that if they wanted to play on ice, there is an ice rink in Wichita for that.
