HELEN OSBURN Last Updated: January 29, 2015 Helen Inez (Wilson) Osburn, 97, died Jan. 22, 2015. She was born in Erie Township, Sedgwick County, to Robert William Wilson and Helen Cordelia (Peairs) Wilson. She taught in Kingman County, worked for Beech Aircraft and Glenn Martin Aircraft, the Red Cross, FAA, Delta Airlines. She was a co-owner and secretary-treasurer for Suburban Dial Inc. Telephone Company in Bentley and Colwich, and a realtor in Harvey County. She was preceded in death by her husband Herald Osburn, daughter Donna Maureen Osburn Morris, son Jerome Osburn, daughter-in-law Gwen Osburn, parents, sisters Dorothy Wilson Briscoe, brothers Peairs Wilson and Robert Wilson, and sister-in-law Margret Wilson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Cathy Osburn of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren Leslie (Kirk) King, Shannon (Lisa) Morris and Cameron (Dee) Morris; five great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Aimee (Jason) Poczynek, Alan King and Robert (Miriam) Campbell; five step-great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. A private burial was held at Peotone Cemetery, Viola. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Presbyterian Manor, 1200 E. 7th, Newton KS 67114. Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center had charge. |
