We had volunteers gather for the skit after the meeting. Then, we had a community leader informational presentation about "Tips for Public Speaking," by Brigitte Crist. We learned many great hints that we need to put into our demonstrations. Next, Joey Spratt shared his knowledge and demonstrated how to play the pianica. Then he accompanied the song leaders, Sonya Zimmerman, Ellie Jacobs and Audrey Crist, in the song "Home on the Range." During Recreation, we played the game of Kansas Pictionary and it was a BLAST! Recreation leader was Abby Anderson. We will be hosting a Kansas Day Quiz Bowl from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Valley Center Public Library. The public is invited to come and take part as well as the 4-Hers. All ages are welcome. Our next meeting will be 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at West Elementary.
