Jan. 25 — Officers Edwyn Diaz and Richard Wolff assisted Wichita police with an auto theft in-progress at North End Auto in the 700 block of West 61st North. A man was seen trying to take a vehicle on a rollback wrecker that had been impounded by Park City police Jan. 25. The vehicle was not taken, and the suspect left prior to the officers' arrival.

Jan. 25 — Sgt. Keith Goodall checked the left-turn light for the southbound lane in the 6200 block of North Broadway that was reportedly not working. He contacted public works, and the light was replaced.

Jan. 25 — Officer Levi Herring and Sgt. Keith Goodall responded to domestic violence at 501 E. 63rd North. The victim reported receiving threatening Facebook messages from her ex- boyfriend Noah Salem. He was later arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Jan. 25 — Sgt. Keith Goodall was flagged down by a citizen at 501 E. 63rd North who had questions about how to obtain a PFA.

Jan. 25 — Sgt. Keith Goodall responded with Sedgwick County sheriff and Valley Center police to 1075 Hopalong Cassidy Circle. A woman reported that her common-law husband, Milton Marks, had thrown pop on her and hit her in the chest. Marks was later arrested on a charge of domestic battery.

Jan. 24 — Officer Edwyn Diaz responded to a traffic accident in the 1300 block of East Beaumont. A man reported striking a legally parked vehicle in front of a residence. The vehicle that struck the parked vehicle was towed by North End Auto.

Jan. 24 — Officer Richard Wolff and Sedgwick County sheriff assisted Wichita police by looking for a domestic violence suspect in the 900 block of East 61st North and the surrounding businesses. They did not locate the suspect.

Jan. 24 — Officer Richard Wolff responded to a report of three dogs running at-large in the 6900 block of North Grove. He did not locate the dogs.

Jan. 24 — Officer Richard Wolff took a report from a woman who said she was the driver of a hit-and-run vehicle that struck a legally parked vehicle Jan. 23 in the 6600 block of North Wendell. Officer gathered the information and cited the woman.

Jan. 24 — Officers Edwyn Diaz and Richard Wolff responded to the 6200 block of North Broadway where an employee found a dog trying to enter a business. Animal Control knew the owner of the dog, who was contacted and arrived to take custody of the dog.

Jan. 24 — Officer Richard Wolff responded to domestic violence in the 5200 block of North Valentine. The reporting party said his ex-wife was late dropping off their son for visitation, which violated a civil agreement. Officer advised the man in the future to document these violations on his own unless a crime or disturbance takes place or might take place.

Jan. 24 — Officers Brandon Green and Levi Herring responded to an alarm in the 5900 block of North Prospect. They found an open trailer door with no one around and an unsecured side door. The building was cleared with no signs of theft or forced entry and no key holder en route. They secured the building as best they could without any keys.

Jan. 24 — Officers Brandon Green and Levi Herring responded to 501 E. 63rd North where a woman reported her 9-year-old son was out of control. They spoke with the boy who agreed to go to Comcare with his mother.

Jan. 24 — Officers Brandon Green and Levi Herring responded to assist EMS and fire in the 900 block of East 53rd North. They were not needed upon arrival.

Jan. 24 — Officer Levi Herring responded to assist a motorist with flat tires caused by holes in a parking lot in the 6200 block of North Broadway.  

Jan. 24 — Officers Christopher Shields and Austin Barrett and Sgt. Trent Johnson stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at 928 E. 61st North. They arrested Michael Parker on charges of DUI, possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The vehicle was impounded by North End Auto.

Jan. 24 — Sgt. Keith Johnson and Offices Christopher Shields and Austin Barrett assisted Wichita police at 928 E 61st North in locating a license plate that had been reportedly stolen in Wichita.

Jan. 23 — Officers Chuck Trimmell and Edwyn Diaz checked the welfare of a man at 901 E. 53rd North after his aunt said he may want to harm himself. They contacted the man who said that, except for having a cold, he was in good spirits and did not want to harm himself. Hotel management said the man had stayed there for 16 to 20 days off and on and has not caused any problems.

Jan. 23 — Officers Chuck Trimmell and Edwyn Diaz investigated possible child abuse at 4616 N. Hydraulic. Management had said that every day around 6 a.m. kids were heard screaming.  Officers checked and found the kids to be OK.

Jan. 23 — Officer Chuck Trimmell took a report of the theft of a yellow 2002 Chevy Corvette sometime between Sept. 9, 2014, and Jan. 23, 2015. The vehicle was heavily wrecked on the front end. It was entered into NCIC. Loss estimated at $22,045.

Jan. 23 — Officer Brandon Green checked a residence in the 1300 block of East 61st North for a probation officer in the area who was not answering the radio. Officer did not locate the officer and was told he had already left the area.

Jan. 23 — Officer Brandon Green took a report from the 6300 block of North Wendell from a woman who said her ex-husband was sending her messages on Facebook and friend requesting her family. Officer advised the woman to block her ex-husband and seek a PFA.

Jan. 23 — Officer Brandon Green took a miscellaneous report from the 6500 block of North East Parkview.  A woman reported an unknown woman had twice banged on her door. When the reporting party asked who was there, the other woman said never mind and left.

Jan. 23 — Officer Brandon Green spoke with a man on the phone with questions regarding a case and his sister.

Jan. 23 — Officer Levi Herring responded to aggravated assault in the 6100 block of North Air Cap Drive. The reporting party had gotten into a verbal argument with a known suspect. An unknown subject had a knife during the argument. The unknown subject stabbed a hole in the reporting party's truck tire.

Jan. 23 — Sgt. Trent Johnson and Officers Christopher Shields and Austin Barrett responded to domestic violence in the 5900 block of North Judson. The victim reported that she and her husband, Edger Castaneda, got into a verbal argument and he broke two glass tabletops and a living room window. Officers arrested Castaneda on a charge of criminal destruction of property.  During the investigation, Johnson took two firearms from the residence, one of which was later found to have been stolen during a 2009 burglary in Wichita. The firearm had been taken out of NCIC due to the death of the original owner. The case was forwarded to Wichita police for disposition.

Jan. 23 — Sgt. Trent Johnson took a hit-and-run report in the 6600 block of North Wendell. The vehicle struck was legally parked in the street.

Jan. 22 — Officer Edwyn Diaz assisted EMS in the 1800 block of East Ravena. The patient was transported to Wesley Medical Center.

Jan. 22 — Officer Edwyn Diaz took a larceny report from the 6300 block of North Jacksonville. Someone took a boy's Schwinn bicycle from the front porch of the residence sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 21 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 22. There was neither a suspect nor a serial number for the bicycle.

Jan. 22 — Officer Chuck Trimmell took a fraud report from the 6600 block of North Poston. The victim reported someone had used his identification to obtain credit for various items. He said everything had been reconciled and he was not out any money. His bank had advised him to file a police report.

Jan. 22 — Officer Chuck Trimmell left a Park City subpoena for a witness at a business in the  5400 block of North Chuzy.

Jan. 22 — Officer Levi  Herring arrested Theodore Pat Rankin for a court commitment.

Jan. 22 — Officer Brandon Green saw a vehicle parked in a back area in the 7300 block of Wild West Drive. He spoke with a man who said he had stopped for his son to change into a pirate costume. The officer cut a case for documentation.

Jan. 22 — Officer Christopher Shields assisted EMS in the 700 block of East Beaumont. The patient was transported to Wesley Medical Center.  

Jan. 22 — Sgt. Trent Johnson and Officer Christopher Shields responded to the 6700 block of North Longmont for a man reportedly in the backyard of a residence and jumping the fence. They checked the area but did not locate anyone fitting the description of the suspect.

Jan. 21 — Officer Chuck Trimmell responded to a minor injury accident involving two vehicles at 61st North and I-135. Injured were treated on the scene and refused transport. The driver at fault was cited, and both vehicles were driven away.

Jan. 21 — Officer Chuck Trimmell assisted Sedgwick County fire with an alarm at Chisholm Trail Elementary, 6015 N. Independence. School staff said an autistic child pulled the fire alarm, which was false.

Jan. 21 — Officer Richard Wolff assisted EMS in the 6500 block of North Ulysses. The patient was transported to Wesley Medical Center.

Jan. 21 — Officer Chuck Trimmell responded to a larceny in the 6700 block of North Grove. The victim said an unknown person removed a 2015 expiration decal off the license tag of a vehicle belonging to her grandmother.

Jan. 21 — Sgt. Keith Goodall and Officer Brandon Green stood by at 501 E. 63rd North while a woman retrieved items from the house.

Jan. 21 — Officers Dale Coffman and Brandon Green inventoried the Park City Emergency Response trailer and prepared a list of supplies needing to be replaced.

Jan. 21 — Officer Brandon Green responded to the 2100 block of East 61st North where a man reported recovering his stolen vehicle. Wichita police confirmed the earlier theft and decided not to process. The vehicle was cleared and returned to the owner.

Jan. 21 — Officer Dale Coffman checked a business with lights on at an unusual hour in the 6000 block of North Broadway. There was a janitorial crew in the building.

Jan. 21 — Officer Brandon Green checked several juveniles at the skate park, 6801 N. Hydraulic. Everything was OK.

Jan. 21 — Officer Christopher Shields was dispatched to assist Valley Center police with a welfare check but was disregarded before arriving on scene.  

Jan. 20 — Officer Chuck Trimmell placed an orange parking sticker on a single-axle trailer parked in the street without a power unit attached in the 2600 block of East Fairchild.

Jan. 20 — Officer Chuck Trimmell placed a parking citation on a vehicle for parking with its left wheels to the curb in the 4800 block of Canterbury Court.

Jan. 20 — Sgt. Keith Goodall took a larceny report from the 5900 block of North I-135. The victim reported being in an accident back in December in which the car was towed from the scene. She said the tag was taken off the car at some point. Officer entered the tag info into NCIC.

Jan. 20 — Officer Brandon Green took a report at the station from a woman receiving calls on her cellphone at work about money she allegedly owes a company. The caller would not send any official paperwork, and the woman believes the calls to be fraudulent.

Jan. 20 — Sgt. Keith Goodall and Officer Brandon Green responded to 501 E. 63rd North where a juvenile attempted suicide by cutting. The juvenile was transported to St. Joseph by her father.

Jan. 20 — Officer Brandon Green and Sgt. Keith Goodall and other law enforcement agencies responded to the 6000 block of North Air Cap Drive where a DCF client had ran from a vehicle. The client was apprehended a short time later on Evanston and turned over to DCF.

Jan. 20 — Officer Duane Schrag assisted Valley Center police with a DUI at 616 E. Fifth in Valley Center.

Jan. 20 — Officer Dustin Belton collected information about street lights out at 61st North and I-135 and at 53rd North and I-135. He also noticed several potholes on 53rd North near the northbound interstate off-ramp.

Jan. 19 — Officer Chuck Trimmell found a U.S. quarter in the right-rear floorboard while cleaning a police vehicle. The quarter was submitted to Property and Evidence.

Jan. 19 — Officer Chuck Trimmell spoke with a woman who advised that her daughter ran away from her home in Hillsboro, and the Hillsboro police had filed a runaway report. The woman does not know if her daughter would try to come to her house in Park City. The officer contacted the Hillsboro police and was told they had filed the runaway report.

Jan. 19 — Officer Richard Wolff contacted a citizen about a vehicle parked in the 2200 block of East 61st North with its left wheels to the curb. The owner moved the vehicle.

Jan. 19 — Officer Richard Wolff contacted the manager of a business in the 1600 block of East 61st North about an alarm. The manager said it was accidental.

Jan. 19 — Officers Richard Wolff and Chuck Trimmell responded to an alarm at City Hall. They determined that citizens entering through the front door were setting off the alarm because the door was not locked. Offices were unable to override the door lock and called City Hall administration who were able to fix the problem.

Jan. 19 — Officer Chuck Trimmell responded to 6801 N. Hydraulic where someone was reported operating a remote control vehicle on the BMX track. The suspect left the area prior to the officer's arrival. The officer was given a part that fell off the RC car while the suspect was using it. The car part was submitted to property and evidence.

Jan. 19 — Officer Levi Herring conducted a traffic stop in the 6300 block of North I-135 and detected the odor of marijuana. He searched the vehicle and found one marijuana joint, which was submitted to property and evidence.

Jan. 19 — Officer Levi Herring served a subpoena to a witness in the 6900 block of North Grove.

Jan. 19 — Sgt. Goodall checked a motorist on the side of the road in the 6100 block of North I-135. The driver said his car had died and help was on the way.

Jan. 19 — Sgt. Keith Goodall and Officer Levi Herring responded to the 1600 block of East Denver for a burglary in-progress. The reporting party saw a person in an abandoned house. The officers checked and spoke with a contractor working in the house.

Jan. 19 — Sgt. Keith Goodall responded to a business alarm in the 6200 block of North Broadway. The alarm was false.

Jan. 19 — Officer Levi Herring checked a residence in the 6300 block of North Chisholm Pointe for a known subject with a Bel Aire traffic warrant.

Jan. 19 — Officers Levi Herring and Duane Schrag assisted Sedgwick County sheriff with a traffic stop at mile marker 21 on northbound I-135.  

Jan. 19 — Officer Duane Schrag and Valley Center police assisted Sedgwick County sheriff by checking the 10100 block of North Meridian for a suspicious person in a slow-moving vehicle. They did not find any suspicious people or activity.
