Aug. 19 — Officer Jason Easley responded to a trash dump at 431 N. Emporia. It had occurred in the county. Officer was asked by the sheriff's office to assist with finding this person. He was located and cleaned his trash off the road.

Aug. 19 — Officer Jason Easley responded to an unknown accident at 9100 N. Hydraulic. There was no evidence of an accident. The truck was parked on the side of the road with no damages.

Aug. 19 — Officer Jason Easley assisted EMS at 600 W. Fieldstone. Officer assisted with lifting person who had fallen.

Aug. 17 — Officers Jason Easley and Justin Longhofer responded to a suspicious character at 400 N. Ash. They could not locate the male who was riding a bike and tried to speak to a child. There was a 10-minute time difference from the 911 call to the dispatched call.

Aug. 17 — Officers Matt Vogt, Jason Sheldon and Shannon Meyer responded to a theft at 105 W. Southwind. The victim reported that her ex-husband had taken property of hers without permission. Case is under investigation.

Aug. 17 — Officers Matt Vogt, Jason Sheldon and Shannon Meyer noticed while doing a building check that the Valley Center Middle School had an open door. The building was checked and nobody was found.

Aug. 16 — Officers Jason Sheldon, Matt Vogt and Marc Scribner responded to a found open door at Abilene Elementary, 522 N. Abilene. Building was cleared and door secured.

Aug. 16 — Officers Jason Sheldon, Matt Vogt and Marc Scribner conducted follow-up work at 588 W. First. Officers contacted a resident about a domestic disturbance across the street on Aug. 14.

Aug. 16 — Officers Jason Sheldon, Matt Vogt and Marc Scribner assisted EMS at 600 W. Fieldstone. Officers assisted EMS with an elderly gentleman who had fallen out of his wheelchair.

Aug. 14 — Officers Allen Adams and Justin Longhofer responded a vehicle accident with a person injured at 101st North and Broadway.

Aug. 14 — Officers Allen Adams and Justin Longhofer responded to a suspicious character on Seneca. A white pickup extended cab with stripes down the side had pulled into the drive and back out a couple of times.

Aug. 14 — Officers Jason Sheldon and Shannon Meyer responded to a theft by deception over $1,000. Complainants came to the police station to report being victims of an internet car sales scam. They believed they were purchasing a 2000 Toyota Camry from a lady in Indiana, but sent by Western Union $1,500 to a guy in Colorado. The car was never received. Loss totaled $1,588.

Aug. 14 — Officers Jason Sheldon and Shannon Meyer responded to a domestic violence call at 587 W. First. Calling party reported that her husband grabbed her by the neck and threw her down on the bed in an argument about a Facebook friend request being accepted in regards to possible infidelities. Her iPhone was broken and taken from the residence by the husband, police said.

Aug. 14 — Officer Jason Sheldon responded to a call at 701 S. Meridian. The calling party wanted an officer to respond and make juveniles pay for a bike they said they would buy from calling party's son off  Craigslist.  She also wanted an officer to have the juveniles pay her gas money since she drove from Rose Hill to Valley Center to sell the bike. Calling party was told officer could not make them pay for it.

Aug. 13 — Officers Michael Gordon and Allen Adams responded to a report of a burglary at 201 N. Meridian.  A "miner's light" flashlight was stolen from a garage.  The case is under investigation.

Aug. 13 — Officers Michael Gordon and Allen Adams responded to lost property at 221 S. Meridian. They returned lost property to its owner.

Aug. 13 — Officers Michael Gordon and Allen Adams responded to a report of a disturbance at 1039 Westwind. Disturbance involved four people arguing and talking smack. The suspects and the victims were gone upon arrival and the person living at the home did not make a report.

Aug. 13 — Officers Michael Gordon and Allen Adams assisted the sheriff's office at the station with a burglary report call.

Aug. 13 — Officers Michael Gordon and Allen Adams responded to a phone message at the station. A citizen requested extra patrol in the areas of 93rd North and Fifth and Broadway because of people running the stop signs.  The information was disseminated to officers to watch the area.

Aug. 13 — Officers Michael Gordon and Allen Adams responded to a phone message at the station.  A citizen found credit cards on her back porch.  She was asked to bring them to the station since it could have been involved in the theft case from overnight and she agreed to do so.

Aug. 13 — Officers Michael Gordon and Allen Adams responded to a 911 hang-up call at 431 W. Fifth Street. There were phone problems.

Aug. 13 — Officer Jason Easley responded to a report of theft from a vehicle. The item taken was a silver ring.

Aug. 13 — Officers Thomas Sullivan and Shannon Meyer responded to a report of fraud at 600 E. Valley Park. Case is under investigation.

Aug. 13 — Officers Thomas Sullivan and Shannon Meyer assisted Park City police with a report of a disturbance at Air Capital and 61st North.

Aug. 13 — Officers Thomas Sullivan and Shannon Meyer responded to a report of a suspicious character at 1 Son Court. Officers found a legally parked car and nobody in the vehicle.

Aug. 12 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to 207 S. Meridian for found property. A set of keys in the laundromat belonged to the laundromat.

Aug. 12 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen at the station by fingerprinting them for a teaching license.

Aug. 12 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen at the station with a domestic issue.

Aug. 12 — Chief Marc Hephner and Officers Michael Gordon and Virginia Crice responded to a suspicious person report at First and Sheridan. They checked for a suspicious person who was reported to be following a boy home on his bike. It was a parent following their child home.

Aug. 12 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted investigations with a case at the station.

Aug. 12 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Shannon Meyer responded to a report of a suspicious character at Buena Vista and Palos Verdes.  Nobody was found. A car was parked legally.

Aug. 12 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Shannon Meyer assisted the sheriff's office with a report of a disturbance with a weapon at 9700 N. 39th West. There was a pasture party and someone shot a shotgun and then threw it in a nearby field.

Aug. 12 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Shannon Meyer responded to a report of a burglary at 200 N. Meridian. An unknown subject entered two unlocked vehicles and a house and took items. Case is under investigation.
