Last Updated: August 22, 2013

In June, Valley Center High School Spanish teachers Aubrie Lehr and Emily Simon took 15 Spanish students to Costa Rica to attend language courses and experience the culture.

They did everything from attending Spanish classes to ziplining, swimming in the ocean, horseback riding on the beach, and visiting the Arenal volcano.

The students who went were Corey Babbidge, Cheyanne McHenry, Taralyn Moeder, Makaela Carter, Rhiannon Dattola, Jason Foster, Sam Dillman, Seth Dillman, Ashley Dillman, Jack Greenwood, Morgan Sprague, Amber Ward, Travis Wiederstein, Laura Wiebe and Brandon Davis.

The Spanish program is considering another trip abroad in 2015.
