DAVID ELDER Last Updated: August 23, 2013 David Grant Elder, 67, died Aug. 8, 2013. He was the oldest of five, born April 30, 1946, in Arkansas City to A. Lee and Duana Grant Elder. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Lynn Follmer (C.J.) of St. Louis, Mo., and Christina Marie Gonzalez (Nick) of Lansing; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Karlie and Micah Follmer, and Alec Gonzalez; brothers, Roderic of Manhattan, Kan., and Clifford (Sherilyn) of Park City; sister, Leanna Tyler of Arkansas City; and five nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wilbur. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 in the Chapel of Memorial Lawn Cemetery, near Arkansas City. The family will visit with friends prior to the services at 1 p.m. A memorial has been established with Compassion International. Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton. |
