Of the 11 students who originally made the South Central Kansas Music Educators Association District Band in the fall, six were selected to take part in All-State Band. They were: Brian Simpson, senior, bass guitar, KMEA Jazz Band; Jenna Miller, senior, first chair French horn, KMEA Concert Band; Jordan Wells, junior, fourth clarinet, KMEA Concert Band; Jacob Miller, junior, fourth trombone, KMEA Concert Band; Brandon Lay, junior, second violin, KMEA Orchestra; and Haley Roe, senior, alternate oboe, KMEA Concert Band. Jenna Miller accomplished a rare feat in becoming one of only a handful of students to make All-State Band three years in a row during her eligibility to audition for the group. Students are eligible during their sophomore, junior and senior years. |
