Kechi approves infrastructure projects Taylor Messick The first item the council took action on was a contract regarding the resurfacing of Prairie Creek Drive. PEC will design and oversee the project at a cost of $8,500; they expect the work to be bid at less than $90,000. This project will repair and preserve the road for three to five years. Work is expected to begin in August or September and will take up to three weeks to complete.

Save The Playhouse gains traction Taylor Messick The campaign started earlier this year with news of a grant that could potentially save one of the most historic and beloved structures in the area. One of the most important steps in securing that grant is to privately raise a portion of the funds. The grant is set up to preserve important and historic buildings in downtown areas and contributes three times the amount that is privately raised.
