Golfers compete at state tournament Taylor Messick
The boys played a practice round on May 19 to get acquainted with the historic course and played pretty well, assistant coach Chris Edwards said. Berschauer shot a 76 and Pierce shot an 83; those scores would've been good enough for seventh and 29th places, respectively. However, a large amount of rain the following evening changed the conditions of the course. Edwards said the weather was great the day of the tournament, but the rainfall had taken its toll.

VCHS Alumni Banquet is here Ron Black
We always have interesting historical slides about the beginnings of the city running on the video screens in the commons room prior to the banquet. But new this year there will be pictures of Valley Center High School's beginnings. These slide shows have become a popular part of the banquet in the past with other historical shots of the cities' beginnings. Vince Marshall has done it for us again. (I think he's our early Valley Center historian!) and has come up with a Powerpoint slide presentation with shots of the beginnings of VCHS.
