Ten Hornets to compete at state track Taylor Messick
    In all, 10 Hornets qualified to compete in 13 events at the Class 5A state track and field meet this weekend at Wichita State — Madison Runnion in the high jump, Taylor Latimer in the shot put, javelin and discus, Emily Klusener in the discus and shot put, Keyon Saunders and Kory Martinez in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, Zach Williams in the 110-meter hurdles and the long jump, Wyatt Lange in the 300-meter hurdles, Tyler Brown in the high jump, pole vault and long jump and the boys' 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

    The weather conditions were poor but the Hornets played fairly well. Unfortunately, much of the field didn't struggle with the weather either.
