Keep local elections separate from national ones
When the state legislative session begins in a couple of months, we hope our elected officials keep the best interest of the people they represent in mind. One of the key concerns expressed by a Bel Aire City Council member at a recent special meeting that should be a concern in every city is a possible bill that would seek to move municipal and school board elections held in odd-numbered years during the spring to coincide with state and national elections held in November of even-numbered years.
