Purchase agreement solidifies company’s pledge to move to Bel Aire Matt Heilman
All along, it was a matter of when and not if the second tenant committed to building in Bel Aire's Sunflower Commerce Park would be ready to break ground. Even so, there was a sense of relief at the Sept. 17 Bel Aire City Council meeting when the finalization of a real estate sale contract was added to the agenda for the council's consideration. The finalized contract seals Shuttle Aerospace's pledge to move its operation from Wichita to Bel Aire. The growing airplane parts manufacturer has locked in to build on about eight acres at the southwest corner of the 800-acre Sunflower Commerce Park near 53rd North and Webb Road. In the agreement, Suprema Holdings, LLC agrees to buy the acreage for $202,000 or about $25,000 per acre for Shuttle Aerospace to relocate to Bel Aire.
