Police reports

April 11 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to a report of domestic violence on North Meridian.

April 11 — Officer Rasheed Berry assisted a motorist at 85th North and Broadway. A motorist was changing a flat tire on a Nissan Pathfinder.

April 11 — Officers Rasheed Berry and Austin Hart responded to a general alarm at 430 W. Clay. The door was open but no one was found.

April 11 — Officer Austin Hart stopped a vehicle at 300 S. Meridian. The driver, Katie Lynn Simon, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

April 11 — Officer Austin Hart responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of North Meridian. It was a civil dispute between two individuals. The children at the residence appeared to be OK.

April 10 — Officer Liliana Garcia responded to a report of domestic violence on North Colby.

April 10 — Officer Liliana Garcia took custody of found property at the police station. A helmet and a bag of ammunition were found and turned in.

April 10 — Officer Eric Leeker made a warrant arrest at 801 S. Meridian. Leeker stopped a vehicle and discovered that the driver did not have a license and had an open container of alcohol. Eden Mendez was arrested on a Wichita bench warrant.

April 10 — Officer Jerry Ezell made a DUI arrest during a traffic stop at 8700 N. Seneca. Ezell stopped a vehicle for making an improper turn, failing to maintain a lane and unsafe driving. An odor of alcohol was detected and the driver admitted to having two drinks. Standard field sobriety testing was conducted and Carter Nold was arrested on charges of DUI, expired registration and no insurance.

April 9 — Officer Eric Leeker made a warrant arrest at 400 W. 93rd North. Leeker responded to a report of suspicious activity and arrested Jerald Ross on a charge of felony interference with a police officer after he lied about his identity. The suspect had a felony warrant out of Salina.

April 9 — Officer Eric Leeker made an arrest on multiple charges during a traffic stop at 1000 S. Meridian. Driver Rene Ceballos was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, no insurance, fraudulent tags, transporting an open container, felony interference with a police officer for attempting to destroy evidence and possession of cocaine.

April 9 — Officer Jerry Ezell made a DUI arrest during a traffic stop at 100 W. Industrial. Ezell stopped a vehicle for failure to maintain a lane and detected an odor of alcohol. The driver admitted to having a beer earlier and standard field sobriety testing was conducted. Samuel Main was arrested on a charge of DUI.

April 8 — Officers Liliana Garcia, Erik Nygaard and Jerry Ezell and Sgt. Jason Easley enforced traffic laws throughout the city.

April 7 — Officers Liliana Garcia, Rasheed Berry and Eric Leeker made contact with an individual at 520 W. Fourth. The calling party said he worked for AT&T and lived in the neighborhood. He was suspicious of another male who he felt did not belong there. Contact was made with the reported individual who was the boyfriend of the homeowner.  

April 7 — Officer Austin Hart issued a citation during a traffic stop at 200 S. Meridian. Hart stopped a vehicle with an illegal tag and the driver had a suspended license.

April 6 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to a non-injury auto accident at 501 N. Sheridan. A motorist hit another vehicle, which was traveling south on Sheridan, while pulling out of West Elementary.

April 6 — Officer Rasheed Berry made contact with an individual at 6301 N. Dodge. An appliance repairman for Sears was suspicious of a male who he felt was acting odd. Contact was made with the reported individual who lived at the residence.

April 6 — Officer Austin Hart made contact with an individual at 200 S. Meridian. The calling party was concerned about a male who was sitting in his truck.

April 6 — Officer Jerry Ezell confirmed a warrant at the police station. Matthew Osman was arrested by Wichita police.

April 5 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger made contact with a male at Wetlands Park. The calling party was suspicious of a male at the park. Contact was made with the reported individual who was there with his dog.

April 5 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger issued a uniform criminal complaint at Wetlands Park.

April 5 — Officers Scott Hamlin and Austin Hart assisted with a deceased male in the 500 block of North Colby.

April 5 — Officer Austin Hart assisted Park City police by providing citizen assistance at 85th North and Broadway. Hart escorted a lost individual to the correct address.

April 11 — 110 E. Fifth, trash fire.

April 9 — 7000 N. Chaparral, grass fire.

April 9 — 1040 N. Meadow Road, hemorrhage.

April 7 — 641 N. Seneca, difficulty breathing.

April 6 — 119th West and 101st North, unknown fire.

April 5 — 8301 N. 71st West, residential systems alarm.

April 5 — 536 N. Colby, fall.
