Police reports

April 14 — Officers Scott Hamlin and John Schoen responded to a non-injury auto accident at Fifth and Sheridan.

April 14 — Officer Scott Hamlin assisted Park City police with a burglary in-progress in the 500 block of East 63rd North.

April 14 — Sgt. J.C. Kirk assisted Park City police with a traffic stop at 9400 N. Broadway.

April 13 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to a fraud at 222 S. Meridian. A known female suspect passed a counterfeit $100 bill at Casey's. The suspect refused to come to the station to be interviewed or give her location. She claimed over the telephone that she had no idea the bill was fake.

April 13 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Liliana Garcia responded to a four-wheeler racing down the street and doing doughnuts in the 1200 block of East Appleton. Officers tried to stop the ATV but were unsuccessful. They went to the suspect's home and spoke with his stepmother who agreed to call when he came home. They were called back and took the suspect into custody. He was interviewed at the station, transported home and released to his parents. He was cited for driving the ATV within city limits.

April 13 — Officers Ryan Mumma, Liliana Garcia and John Schoen responded to a disturbance at 103 N. Colby. They determined the incident actually occurred across the street in the parking lot of Valley View Apartments. Officers spoke with both parties involved, and the disturbance was verbal only.

April 13 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Garcia responded to a suspicious person at 300 N. Meridian. Officers contacted juveniles who the calling party said were running through the area and knocking on a neighbor's door.  

April 11 — Officer Jerry Ezell assisted the Sedgwick County sheriff with a hit-and-run accident at 53rd North and Meridian.

April 11 — Officer Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for failure to maintain a lane at 7027 N. Clarence. The driver, Daryl Claassen, refused all field sobriety tests and was arrested on a charge of DUI.

April 10 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to a report of assault in the 100 block of South Birch. The reporting party said someone poisoned her and used a Taser on her.

April 10 — Officers Liliana Garcia, Ryan Mumma and Scott Hamlin responded to a scam at 230 N. Fiddlers Creek. The reporting part said someone claiming to be with the U.S. Marshals Service called and asked for bank account information and a Social Security number.

April 10 — Officers Liliana Garcia, Ryan Mumma and Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of North Ash. A 12-year-old was having a manic episode and was taken to COMCARE.

April 10 — Officers Liliana Garcia, Ryan Mumma and Scott Hamlin escorted Sharon Latimer to jail on a court commit.

April 10 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Jerry Ezell assisted Wichita police with a shooting incident at 5250 N. Charles.

April 9 — Officer Rasheed Berry assisted Valley Center Fire Department at 408 W. Second. A toddler locked herself inside a vehicle and the fire department got her out.

April 9 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 200 S. Colby for a welfare check. An elderly woman had fallen and had been on the ground since sometime the previous day. EMS and Valley Center Fire Department also assisted.

April 8 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 209 N. Colby to assist Wichita police with trying to locate someone who wasn't there.

April 8 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 315 N. Colby where the calling party reported someone driving down the street. The vehicle was not located.

April 8 — Officers John Schoen and Scott Hamlin responded to a burglary in-progress at 7901 N. 103rd. It was determined to be a civil issue between the family members.

April 15 — 821 W. Third Street Terrace, stroke.

April 14 — 531 S. Eastridge, seizure.

April 13 — 616 E. Fifth, chest pains.

April 11 — 221 N. Abilene, difficulty breathing.

April 10 — 1431 W. 77th North, vehicle fire.

April 10 — 6 E. Miles Court, assist a resident.

April 10 — 219 N. Emporia, trauma.

April 10 — 12300 N. I-135, grass fire.

April 9 — 11342 N. Hoover, check gas odor outside.

April 9 — 408 W. Second, vehicle lock-in.

April 9 — 200 S. Colby, assist law enforcement officer.

April 8 — 858 N. Redbud Court, assist resident.

April 8 — 100 W. Industrial, unknown fire.

April 8 — 301 W. Fieldstone, assist EMS.
