Police reports

March 16 — Officers Eric Leeker and Liliana Garcia responded to a report of an overdose in the 500 block of North Abilene.

March 16 — Officer John Schoen and Sgt. Jason Easley responded to a report of domestic battery in the 1300 block of South Meridian, Lot 15. A juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center.

March 16 — Officer John Schoen and Sgt. Jason Easley assisted Wichita police in the 600 block of East Dover where a vehicle used in a strong-armed robbery was seen. Contact was made with the resident. Neither the vehicle nor the resident matched the description provided. Easley contacted Wichita police for a follow up and found out the suspect was renting a room at this address but was not home when contact was made.

March 16 — Officer John Schoen assisted EMS in the 600 block of West Deerfield.

March 16 — Officer John Schoen checked a residence at 1061 N. Meadow. Everything was in order.

March 16 — Officer John Schoen assisted Wichita police with a burglary in progress at 5602 N. Sullivan. Officers searched the area and nothing was found.

March 15 — Officers Eric Leeker and Liliana Garcia assisted the Sedgwick County sheriff by speaking with the driver in an auto accident at 105 Westwind.

March 15 — Officers Eric Leeker and Liliana Garcia assisted EMS in the 300 block of Fieldstone.

March 15 — Officer John Schoen responded to a dog at-large running around near the shelter at McLaughlin Park, 716 N. McLaughlin Drive. Schoen arrived on the scene, checked the area and didn't find the calling party or the dog. Contact was made with the calling party over the phone for follow up.

March 15 — Officers John Schoen and Jerry Ezell responded to a suspicious person at 1158 N. Longview Drive. The calling party said someone was knocking at his back door. Officers checked the area and contacted the calling party.

March 14 — Officers Ryan Mumma and John Schoen and Sgt. Jason Easley responded to a traffic hazard at 545 W. Clay. The calling party reported a truck was blocking the entrance to the brush pile. The owner of the truck moved it without incident.

March 14 — Officer John Schoen and Sgt. Jason Easley assisted Valley Center fire at 858 N. Redbud Court with a medical call.

March 13 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to 100 N. Ash. He arrested Richard Moler on charges of illegal registration, no insurance, driving with a suspended license and interference with a law enforcement officer.

March 13 — Officers Scott Hamlin and Ryan Mumma responded to a report of shots fired at Main and Meridian. Nothing was found.

March 13 — Officers Scott Hamlin, Ryan Mumma, Erik Nygaard and Jerry Ezell responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of West Deerfield.

March 12 — Officer Rasheed Berry and Sgt. Matt Vogt responded to a suspicious person in the 2700 block of East Ford. The suspect was no longer in the area.

March 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of North Ash. A juvenile got into a physical altercation with a parent and was taken to COMCARE Crisis.

March 12 — Officer Erik Nygaard stopped a motorist for a traffic violation at 1000 S. Meridian. He arrested Javier Hernandez for two Wichita warrants and a Sedgwick County warrant and on charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 12 — Officer Erik Nygaard responded to a general alarm on a business at 213 S. Meridian. The alarm was false.

March 11 — Officer Rasheed Berry and Sgt. Matt Vogt stood-by to prevent a disturbance at 1402 W. 63rd North while code enforcement served a resident.

March 11 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a report of reckless drivers at Colby and Meridian. Nothing was found.  

March 11 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to reports of cars chasing teenagers around Lions Park. Hamlin found no cars or teenagers in the area.

March 11 — Officers Scott Hamlin and Erik Nygaard assisted Park City police with a possibly suicidal person at Leeker's. The subject was in Wichita.

March 17 — 2519 E. Sunnyvale, grass fire.

March 17 — 118 N. Park, chest pains.

March 16 — 630 Deerfield, bleeding.

March 16 — 547 N. Abilene, sick person.

March 15 — 301 W. Fieldstone, difficulty breathing.

March 15 — 1001 Meadow Lake Circle, permit.

March 14 — 858 N. Redbud Court, assist resident.

March 13 — 630 W. Deerfield, assault.

March 13 — Third and Emporia, lines down.

March 13 — West 69th North and North West, lines down.

March 12 — West 77th North and North 71st West, injury auto accident.

March 12 — 514 N. Ash, chest pains.

March 12 — 821 W. Third Street Terrace, system alarm on business.
