Police reports

Dec. 17 — Officer Ceara Metzger followed up at 2 N. Valley Oaks Court.

Dec. 17 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to the 200 block of South Dexter. The calling party said she and her family have a protection order against a known person who had been trying to contact her husband to talk with him. Officer was unable to contact the individual but advised the family to contact their attorneys and provide them the case number.

Dec. 17 — Officer Erik Nygaard, Sgt. Matt Vogt and Det. Jason Easley responded to 4616 W. 77th North for shots fired. The officers located the source of the shots and told them they could not shoot inside the city limits.

Dec. 16 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a theft at 653 McLaughlin Drive.

Dec. 16 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a suspicious person at 7200 N. Clarence.

Dec. 16 — Officer Jason Easley monitored traffic.

Dec. 16 — Sgt. J.C. Kirk responded to a disturbance at 222 S. Meridian.

Dec. 15 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a non-injury accident at 737 N. Meridian.

Dec. 15 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted EMS at 411 S. Stoneridge.

Dec. 15 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a suspicious person at 100 N. Meridian.

Dec. 15 — Officer Ceara Metzger assisted a resident at the station with filing a miscellaneous report.

Dec. 14 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted EMS at 4212 W. 77th North..

Dec. 14 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a non-injury accident at 121 S. Meridian.

Dec. 14 — Officer Ceara Metzger assisted Valley Center fire at 1130 W. 61st North with a house fire. Everyone evacuated safely, and the fire was put out.

Dec. 14 — Officer Ceara Metzger spoke on the phone with a resident who wanted to know when they could drop off supplies for the 3-year-old boy.

Dec. 14 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to 546 W. Main and delivered paperwork that needed to be signed by a juvenile and his father. 

Dec. 13 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger acted as transports for court.

Dec. 13 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Scott Hamlin found a line down in the road at Fifth and Hickory Lane. Valley Center fire responded and took care of it.

Dec. 12 — Officer Ceara Metzger took a report at the station of a non-injury, two-vehicle accident that occurred at 412 W. Elm.

Dec. 12 — Officer Ceara Metzger took a theft report at the station. The reporting party said an unknown individual entered his toolbox, attached to his truck, and took $150 worth of tools sometime during the early hours of Dec. 12.

Dec. 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk helped a resident with a theft report at the station. The reporting party said her temporary tag was stolen off her car while she was at work at Wheatland Elementary School.

Dec. 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk followed up at 411 N. Elm. A known individual was cited for not having proof of insurance on his vehicle that had been involved in a traffic accident.

Dec. 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin assisted a motorist in the 500 block of North Sheridan with mechanical issues involving their vehicle.

Dec. 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to New Hope Services. A resident called 911 because he did not like the staff at the facility. Hamlin tried to explain to the resident it was a civil matter and not a criminal one.

Dec. 11 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to 310 W. Scott for two dogs at-large. They were aggressive but did not injure anyone. The neighbor was able to get the dogs back into the owner's yard.

Dec. 11 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Detective Jason Easley responded to an altercation between two juvenile male drivers at First and Ash. The calling party said the other driver attacked him during over a driving matter. The other driver swung at the calling party, and he was just defending himself.

Dec. 11 — Officer Rasheed Berry assisted Maize police with a suspicious person with a weapon call. Four juveniles were breaking into cars. They found a gun and shot a bullet into the air. Rasheed stayed with the suspect car until officers contacted the parents, who did not know they took the car out of Wichita.

Dec. 15 — 411 S. Stoneridge, stroke.

Dec. 14 — 4212 W. 77th North, fall.

Dec. 14 — 149 N. Sheridan, chest pains.

Dec. 14 — 21 N. Hawthorne Road, permit.

Dec. 14 — 1130 W. 61st North, house fire.

Dec. 14 — 1915 Windsor Creek Court, unconscious.

Dec. 13 — 460 N. Emporia, No. 124, traumatic injury.

Dec. 13 — Fifth and Hickory Lane, line down.

Dec. 12 — 645 N. Abilene, grass fire.

Dec. 12 — 8124 Buena Vista, permit.

Dec. 11 — 641 N. Seneca, heart.
