Police reports

Oct. 15 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to 709 W. Third for a welfare check. She was unable to contact anyone.

Oct. 15 — Officer Ceara Metzger assisted EMS in the 700 block of North McLaughlin Drive.

Oct. 15 — Officer Ceara Metzger followed up on a case at 401 E. Sixth.

Oct. 15 — Officer Ceara Metzger followed up at 808 S. Abilene on a case from Oct. 11. The calling party said he had already talked with the property owner, and everything was OK.

Oct. 15 — Officer Ceara Metzger assisted Valley Center fire and EMS in the 6500 block of North Seneca.

Oct. 14 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to 9 Son Court. Someone stole work truck tools valued at almost $2,000 from a residence around 6 or 7 a.m.

Oct. 14 — Officers Eric Leeker and Scott Hamlin responded to 212 S. Meridian, Lot 12, to check the welfare of two young children. A report was made and will be forwarded to the Department for Children and Families.

Oct. 14 — Officer Erik Nygaard assisted EMS in the 600 block of North Abilene.

Oct. 13 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a theft at 700 S. Ramsey Drive. Two individuals where seen by video surveillance stealing scrap metal from Bryan's Heating and Air. They also left parts of their car after hitting a sewer cap.

Oct. 13 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a theft at 608 S. Ramsey Drive. Possibly the same individuals from the prior theft call drove though the grass and stole scrap batteries from Junk Pro. 

Oct. 13 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to 558 W. Second for downed power lines. Cox Communications and Westar responded to repair the lines.

Oct. 13 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted EMS in the 1300 block of West Evanston Drive.

Oct. 13 — Officers Scott Hamlin and Erik Nygaard responded to a disturbance at 207 N. Dexter. The resident's nephew was intoxicated and walked away from home after a verbal argument. The suspect was found walking the streets and returned home without incident.

Oct. 12 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted EMS in the 600 block of Fieldstone.

Oct. 12 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted a motorist in the 2200 block of 77th North by blocking the road to allow a tow truck to load the vehicle.

Oct. 12 — Sgt. J.C. Kirk responded to the 200 block of West Fifth. The calling party reported hearing voices outside her home and thought it was her ex, against whom she had filed a protection-from-abuse order. Officer searched the area but did not find anyone.

Oct. 12 — Sgt. J.C. Kirk responded to the 200 block of East Sixth. The calling party thought someone was in the backyard. Kirk searched the area but didn't find anyone.

Oct. 11 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger responded to 1119 N. Westwind for a welfare check. The calling party was concerned about her sister. Officers spoke with the sister, who was fine. It was a misunderstanding between the sisters.

Oct. 11 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger transported three inmates from Sedgwick County jail to Valley Center Municipal Court.

Oct. 11 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger responded to 9600 N. Meridian. A juvenile male was transported to COMCARE after making suicidal comments to school administrators.

Oct. 11 — Officer Ryan Mumma and Sgt. J.C. Kirk transported inmates for court.

Oct. 11 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Scott Hamlin assisted EMS in the 100 block of West Fourth.

Oct. 10 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to 600 N. Redbud Court where the calling party reported two dogs running at-large in the neighborhood. Animal Control took control of the dogs and cleared the scene.

Oct. 10 — Officer Ceara Metzger assisted Sedgwick County sheriff in the 400 block of Meeds Drive by locating an individual with Sedgwick County warrants. She apprehended the suspect and transported him to the Sedgwick County jail.

Oct. 10 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to a non-injury accident at 9200 N. Seneca.

Oct. 10 — Officer Ryan Mumma and Sgt. J.C. Kirk assisted EMS in the 400 block of North Colby.

Oct. 10 — Officer Ryan Mumma and Sgt. J.C. Kirk stopped a vehicle for an expired registration in the 500 block of North Abilene. They arrested John Patrick II for warrants from the city of Wichita and Sedgwick County.

Oct. 9 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to a dog at-large at 324 N. Abilene. She captured the dog and returned it home.

Oct. 9 — Officer Ceara Metzger located an illegally parked vehicle in the 200 block of North Abilene. She explained to the owner that since the vehicle had an expired registration, it could not be parked on a public street. The owner said he would have the vehicle moved.

Oct. 9 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 641 N. Redbud. The calling party said a vehicle drove through the crosswalk at Fifth and Redbud while he and his family were in the street. The calling party didn't want to make a report, but wanted an officer to talk with the driver. The driver was located and informed of the incident.

Oct. 9 — Officer Ryan Mumma followed up on a domestic violence case in the 1000 block of Meadow Road.

Oct. 9 — Officer Ryan Mumma spoke on the phone at the station with a resident who had a question about her son. The son had been taken into police protective services Oct. 13.

Oct. 9 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to the 200 block of West Fieldstone to assist Wichita police by contacting relatives of someone who lived in south Wichita. Officer was disregarded upon arrival.

Oct. 13 — 3150 E. Ford, permit.

Oct. 13 — 401 W. Albert, brush fire.

Oct. 13 — 9129 N. Seneca, permit.

Oct. 13 — 1311 W. Evanston, sick person.
