Fireworks rules vary across county By The News staff Last Updated: June 29, 2017 In some cities, the Fourth of July revelry has already started. In others, residents will have to wait. From the very strict to the more relaxed, rules governing the sale and discharge of fireworks vary across north Sedgwick County. In Valley Center, firework sales are allowed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 30 through July 3 and from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. July 4. Residents in Valley Center may discharge fireworks from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 30 through July 3 and 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. July 4. In Park City, fireworks may be discharged from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. June 27 through July 2 and from 8 a.m. to midnight July 3 and 4. Fireworks can be sold from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. June 27 through July 4. In Kechi, fireworks may be discharged from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 27 through July 2 and 10 a.m. to midnight July 3 and 4. Fireworks can be sold from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 27 through July 2 and 10 a.m. to midnight July 3 and 4. Bel Aire has the strictest rules. Discharge of fireworks can be done from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 4 only. Further, city ordinance requires residents to have fireworks debris cleaned up before 10 p.m. July 5. Firework sales are taking place from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 27 through July 4. In the unincorporated areas of Sedgwick County, the discharge of fireworks is allowed from 8 a.m. to midnight July 1 through 4. |
