To be eligible, students must have completed 12 or more credit hours and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60 for the semester. Students are listed with their year in school and major.

D.J. Crager qualified for the dean's honor roll during the fall and spring semesters at the University of Missouri Kansas City pharmacy school. A 2011 Valley Center High School graduate, Crager is the son of Doug Crager and Kelee Crager.

Maimouna Dosso of Wichita was named to the spring semester 2017 President's List at Georgia State University in Atlanta. To be eligible for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.

Paige Lundin of Valley Center is part of the cast and crew presenting "The Star-Spangled Girl" by Neil Simon, running June 14 trough 17. Lundin, a senior speech and theatre education major, handled publicity and promotion.

Theodore Worstell, of St. Joseph, Mo., graduated from College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, Mo., during the 2017 commencement exercises on May 7. Worstell received a B.S. in conservation and wildlife management. Worstell is a Valley Center High School graduate.

The Office of the Registrar at Northwest Missouri State University has announced the names of students named to the Academic or President's Honor Roll at the end of the 2017 spring trimester. The following area students earned honors by carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours and attaining a grade-point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.00 scale. Students named to the President's Honor Roll have attained a perfect 4.00 GPA for the trimester:

From Wichita, Jasmine B. Baczkiewicz attained the academic honor roll and Gabrielle C. Torline attained the president's honor roll.

Charla Cross and Marilyn Lewis were recently initiated into the Little Arkansas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in Valley Center. These ladies have traced an ancestor to a patriot in the American Revolutionary War. Any woman over 18 who can prove lineal descent to an American Patriot of the Revolutionary War may join.
