 MERL WATKINS Last Updated: May 18, 2017 Merl "Rick" Watkins, 74, died May 12, 2017. He was the senior director of employee services at Pepsi Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merl and Ruth Watkins; daughter Jennifer Watkins and brother Lester Michael Watkins. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Watkins; sons Merl "Ronn" Watkins of Wichita and Jerry (Pam) Watkins of Valley Center; stepsons Brian (Karrie) Botts of Niceville, Fla., and Brad (Karen) Botts of Argyle, Texas; stepdaughter Brenda (Jim) Tatman of Wichita; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. May 18 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (for Multiple Myeloma Research), 3450 N. Rock Road, No. 204, Wichita KS 67226. Downing & Lahey Mortuary East Chapel has charge. |
