LAURA DUNCAN

Laura M. (Day) Duncan, 86, of Clearwater, died May 13, 2017. She had lived in Valley Center for nearly 40 years.

She was a retired model maker with Coleman and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Valley Center Chapter.

She was preceded by her parents, William and Emma (Wenzel) Day; son Larry Duncan; and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband of almost 70 years, John; children Linda (Norman) Hickman of Perrin, Texas, Lola Cachard of Dallas, and Rex (Mary Jane) Duncan of Clearwater; brothers Lester (Betty) Day of Pretty Prairie and Bill Day of Hutchinson; sister Francis Wilson of Charlestown, Ind.; grandchildren Janeen, Dale, Carrie, Ryan and Adam; great-grandchildren Justyn, Zachary, Parker, Madeline and Sophia.

Graveside service was May 17 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pretty Prairie. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association of Central and Western Kansas, 1820 E. Douglas Ave, Wichita KS 67214. Webb-Shinkle Mortuary of Clearwater had charge.
