Jan. 30--Kevin B. Wiese of Solomon reported that Ireland Sales was in possession of his vehicle that had been reported as a temporarily deprived vehicle to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office Jan. 27. Employees of the business opened the gate and let the owner retrieve his 1998 Freightliner, Officer Dwight Wilkes reported.

Jan. 30--Officers Hobert Capps, Trrel Brown, Kevin Werlein, Keith Goodall and Carl Enterkin and Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh reported stopping Johnny R. Bell Marild L. Burns and Brandi J. Duncan leaving Kice industries at 5500 N. Mill Heights Drive. Officer Brown reported finding a male juvenile and William Little loading metal into a posibly stolen pickup truck. All the suspects went to jail for felony theft, felony contributing to a child’s misconduct, criminal trespass and warrants, the officers reported.

Jan. 30--Officer Terrell Brown took a male juvenile to the juvenile detention facility on a Sedgwick County warrant at 5200 N. Mill Heights Drive.

Jan. 30--Officer Hobert Capps reported arresting Johnny Bell on a Sedgwick County traffic warrant at 800 E. 53rd North.

Jan. 30--Officer Keith Goodall reported arresting Brandi J. Duncan of Wichita on a City of Wichita warrant at 800 E. 53rd North.

Jan. 30--Officers Carl Enterkin and Keith Goodall responded to a false alarm at 4880 N. Broadway.

Jan. 29--Danny L. Roland reported the burglary of his Ford pickup and the theft of approximately $300, $20 in $10 bills and $10 in change at 1306 E. Denver. Terry Love was the reporting officer.

Jan. 29--Sgt. Trent Johnson responded to the report of children tapping on windows in the 2500 block of Cambridge Court.

Jan. 29--Officer Hobert Capps checked on suspicious characters who legally parked their vehicle and walked north on Hartford.

Jan. 29--Officer Keith Goodall confirmed a bench warrant on Jeremy Woodman and went to the location of the Wichita Police Department traffic stop to serve the warrant at 2400 W. 29th North. The Wichita officers booked Woodman on the warrant and other charges.

Jan. 29--Officers Keith Goodall and Carl Enterkin and Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh checked on several unsupervised juveniles running around the Best Western at 915 E. 53rd North. They were sent to their respective rooms.

Jan. 28--Officer Dwight Wilkes assisted a citizen during a child custody exchange.

Jan. 28--Officer Michael Kingsford assisted EMS with a man who was ill. He was transported to St. Francis.

Jan. 28--Michael McDonald reported his vehicle left the roadway while westbound on 53rd North. No tickets were issued, Officer Terrell Brown reported.

Jan. 28--Danny Wells reported his vehicle slid into a crosswalk handrail at Hydraulic and Broadbeck, resulting in more than $1,000 in damage to his vehicle. Hobert Capps was the reporting officer.

Jan. 28--Officer Hobert Capps responded to a false alarm at 1734 E. Charleston.

Jan. 28--Michael Retzleff reported the burglary of a residence and the theft of $1,200 in cash, $218.05 in payroll checks and two Care Bears valued at $40 at 1114 Beaumont. Terrell Brown was the reporting officer.

Jan. 28--Officer Terrell Brown responded to the report of an identified man allegedly being hit by a car driven by an identfied woman as she was leaving his residence. The man refused EMS treatment. Stacey Osowski later was arrested at her residence, the officer reported.

Jan. 28--Jeff Magness reported a large dog fell into his basement window well and possibly was injured at 1727 E. Broadbeck. Compliance Officer Dennis Rader removed the dog without incident, Officer Hobert Capps reported.

Jan. 28--Officer Troy Griggs reported arresting Kenneth S. Davis for failure to have his driver’s license in his possession and for driving without having been licensed at 1200 E. 61st North.

Jan. 28--Officer Troy Griggs reported arresting Wayne A. Simpson for DUI at 1200 E. 53rd North.

Jan. 27--Officer Dwight Wilkes assisted EMS with a woman who was ill at #22 Wichita. She refused medical transport.

Jan. 27--Officer Dwight Wilkes reported arresting Braind N. Welch for driving while license was revoked at 5300 N. N. I-135.

Jan. 27--Leeker’s Family Foods reported the theft of approximately 10 packages of ribeye steaks valued at approximately $150 by an unidentified woman at 6223 N. Broadway. Hobert Capps was the reporting officer.

Jan. 27--Officer Hobert Capps checked on a child sleeping in a vehicle at 6223 N. Broadway.

Jan. 27--Sgt. Trent Johnson and Officer Hobert Capps served a uniform notice to appear and criminal complaint for harassment by telephone to Clarence J. Smith of Valley Center.

Jan. 27--Sgt. Trent Johnson reported stopping Susan Herndon for a bench warrant out of Hesston at 1700 E. Charleston. Upon investigation, Herndon’s license was found to be suspended and she reportedly was driving without proof of liability insurance. Officer Kevin Werlein booked her into the Sedgwick County Jail and her vehicle was impounded.

Jan. 27--Officer Kevin Werlein reported arresting Susan Herndon on two Harvey County warrants, two Harper County warrants and three Wichita warrants, all for bad checks, at 1700 E. Charleston. She was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.

Jan. 27--Officers Kevin Werlein and Hobert Capps and Sgt. Trent Johnson checked on an open door at 1356 Village Estates Ct.

Jan. 27--Sgt. Trent Johnson checked on a woman loitering near a business at 990 E. Connolly Ct.  She agreed to take a taxi to the bus station.

Jan. 27--Officers Troy Griggs and Keith Goodall checked the welfare of a resident.

Jan. 27--Officer Troy Griggs checked on a runaway and reported the youth had returned home.

Jan. 27--Officer Keith Goodall assisted EMS with a man who was ill at 6377 N. Tarrytown. The man refused treatment.

Jan. 26--Officer Michael Kingsford took Joel P. Longbine into custody for  numerous domestic violence-related misdemeanors at 7945 N. Broadway and booked hm into the county jail on those charges.

Jan. 26--Officer Terry Love and Lt. Eric Miller responded to a  false alarm at 1510 E. 61st North.

Jan. 26--Officer Terry Love checked on a citizen and reported everything was OK.

Jan. 26--Officers Terry Love and Michael Kingsford responded to the report of an accident at 53rd North and Hydraulic. A male juvenile had driven off the roadway and left the scene before the officers arrived.

Jan. 26--Officer Hobert Capps responded to the report of a missing child. The child returned home a short time later.

Jan. 26--Officer Hobert Capps assisted the Bel Aire Police Department in checking for a runawy. It later was found to be a child custody situatioin, the officer reported.

Jan. 26--Officer Hobert Capps reported arresting Nicholas E. Clubb and booking him for domestic battery and criminal damage at 308 N. Dexter in Valley Center.

Jan. 26--Officr Kevin Werlein and Sgt. Trent Johnson did a club check at Slammers, 426 E. 61st North.

Jan. 26--Sgt. Trent Johnson responded to the report of an identified female who reportedly intended to sleep in the park at 6200 N. Mobile. He located the female and she went home.

Jan. 26--Sgt. Trent Johnson checked on an open gate at 5835  N. Broadway.

Jan. 26--Officer Kevin Werlein responded to the report of an unidentified person in a tan and white older-model pickup possibly attempting to pick up a child at 1500 E. Beaumont.

Jan. 26--Officer Kevin Werlein contacted the driver of a truck at 6075 N. Air Cap Drive after a complaint about noise. The driver left the area.

Jan. 26--Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh and officers Troy Griggs and Keith Goodall responded to the report of a lost juvenile at 4616 N. Hydraulic. With the assistance of the air section, sheriff’s office and Bel Aire Police Department, the child was located walking just south of 53rd North on Hydraulic. The child was returned home.

Jan. 26--Officer Troy Griggs responded to the report of a suspicious character at 4844 N. Wyndham.

Jan. 26--Officer Troy Griggs reported arresting Johnny A. Elliott for possession of marijuana and a Wichita Police Department traffic warrant at #206 Choctaw.
