April 13--Officer Michael Kingsford assisted Compliance Officer Dennis Rader with an injured opossum in the 1000 block of East Evanston.

April 13--Officer Michael Kingsford reported arresting Lee Ramirez for assault domestic violence at 6417 N. Tarrytown.

April 13--Officer Michael Kingsford responded to a 911 hang-up call at 4815 N. Hydraulic. Everything was OK.

April 13--Officer Timothy Dye and Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to the report of a disturbance at 7701 Hayes Drive. An identified man’s employment was terminated and he became upset,  The officers reported. No charges were pressed against the suspect.

April 13--Officer Timothy Dye and Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to the report of a woman wearing a black dress and carrying a white paper bag, reportedly contacting drivers to ask if they needed any company. The officers were unable to locate the woman in the area of 6115 N. Air Cap Drive.

April 13--Officers Keith Goodall, Troy Griggs and Dwight Wilkes responded to the report of a burglary in progress at 5349 N. Broadway.  They were unable to locate anyone in the area, and nothing was reported missing.

April 13--Officer Troy Griggs responded to a false alarm at 6223 N. Broadway.

April 12--Officer Terry Love booked Lee L. Ramirez into the county jail for speeding 53 in a 35-mph zone, displaying a tag not assigned, no current registration, driving while suspended and sound amplification violation.

April 12--Officer Timothy Dye assisted EMS with a person who fell at 5200 Valentine. He was taken to St. Francis.

April 12--Officer Hobert Capps responded to the report of a possible thief in a yard in the 6400 block of Tarrytown. The suspect fled through a gate, the officer reported.

April 11--Wesley Jackson of Kechi reported that Miriam M. Bacon struck his silver Chevy Silverado pickup while backing out of a stall next to him at 995 E. 61st North. Terry Love was the reporting officer.

April 11--Officers Hobert Capps and Timothy Dye responded to the report of teenagers fighting pit bulls at 1321 Charleston. One pit bull and two other mixed-breed dogs were found, and there was no evidence that any laws had been broken at the time of the call, the officers reported. None of the dogs were injured, the officers reported.

April 11--Officer Timothy Dye responded to the report of telephone harassment.

April 11--Officer Dwight Wilkes assisted EMS with a person who was ill at 202 E. 52nd North. The patient was transported to St. Francis.  

April 10--Dawn D. Turner reported William G. Callison accidentally backed into her mailbox at 1122 E. 61st North. The two made arrangements for repairs, Officer Terry Love reported.

April 10--Sgt. Henry Spurlock assisted EMS with a man who was ill at 7642 N. Hydraulic. He was transported to Wesley Hospital.

April 10--Sgt. Henry Spurlock assisted a citizen.

April 10--Sgt. Henry Spurlock was unable to locate a stray dog reported in the 6600 block of North Tarrytown.

April 10--Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to a false alarm at 2122 E. Ventnor.

April 10--Northwest Truck Salvage reported a person dumping trash in the dumpster at 5546 N. Broadway. An identified female suspect was contacted and agreed to resolve the issue without prosecution, Officer Hobert Capps reported.

April 10--Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to an ATM machine alarm at 1610 E. 61st North. A sandblasting company was cleaning concrete nearby, the officer reported.

April 10--Sgt. Henry Spurlock reported finding an open door on a wrecker at 1321 Charleston. Everything was OK.

April 10--Officer Hobert Capps assisted a citizen.

April 10--Officer Hobert Capps was unable to locate the source of loud music reported on Navajo.

April 9--McDonald’s reported finding a counterfeit $20 bill while inventorying money at 5900 N. Air Cap Drive. Michael Kingsford was the reporting officer.

April 9--Officer Michael Kingsford assisted a citizen.

April 9--A vehicle driven by Rhiana Haughawut collided with Michelle McNeley’s vehicle while making a turn from southbound Hydraulic onto westbound Gary, causing minor damage to both vehicles, Officer Michael Kingsford reported.

April 9--Officer Hobert Capps and Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to a false alarm at 2555 Sunnyslope Court.

April 9--Officer Hobert Capps and Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to a false alarm at 6160 N. Broadway.

April 9--Sean Forrest reported the burglary of a shed and the theft of a red Toro mower and a Stihl weedeater at #33 Shawnee Drive. Sgt. Henry Spurlock was the reporting officer.

April 9--Officers Dwight Wilkes and Keith Goodall checked on an identified woman at 5901 N. Broadway for suspicious activity.

April 8--David Darrow reported the overnight theft of approximately 10 CDs from his 1995 Chevy Lumina parked in the driveway at 6540 N.W. Parkview. Michael Kingsford was the reporting officer.

April 8--Tabitha A. Offutt reported the overnight theft of a purse from a vehicle parked in the driveway at 6416 N. Scottsville. Michael Kingsford was the reporting officer. Officer Timothy Dye reported later recovering the missing purse at 2100 Frontenac and returning it to its owner.

April 8--Matthew J. Benz reported the overnight theft of numerous items from the rear of his 1996 Jeep Cherokee while it was parked in the driveway at 6458 N.W. Parkview. Michael Kingsford was the reporting officer.

April 8--Patrick M. Phillips reported the burglary of his residence at 6425 Wendell and the theft of numerous items. Michael Kingsford was the reporting officer.

April 8--John N. Meredith reported the theft of approximately $2 in miscellaneous coins from his 1998 Ford Windstar while parked overnight in his driveway at 6544 N. Longmont. Michael Kingsford was the reporting officer.

April 8--Brian N. Lutton reported the theft of his wallet from his 1997 Saturn while it was parked in front of a home at 6568 N.W. Parkview. The theft occurred overnight, Officer Michael Kingsford reported.

April 8--Bobbi K. Williams reported the theft of $2 in change and $2 in burned music CDs from a 2001 Chevy Tracker that was parked in the driveway at 6444 N. Randall. Michael Kingsford was the reporting officer.

April 8--Joni Bevan reported the overnight theft of a pair of Oakley sunglasses with smoked lenses and brown frames, valued at $120, from her 1998 Ford pickup at 6407 Scottsville. Hobert Capps was the reporting officer.

April 8--Officer Hobert Capps reported booking Danielle M. Phillips into jail for allegedly shoplifting a tube of Crest toothpaste at 6223 N. Broadway.

April 8--Officer Hobert Capps reported arresting Sue M. Hunter at 604 E. 61st North for a domestic assault that allegedly occurred April 2. She was brought before a judge who ordered her transported to jail, the officer reported.

April 8--Phyllis Hainline reported finding a woman’s purse in her yard at 1900 E. Frontenac. The identified owner of the purse did not know it was missing and did not want to make a report, Officer Timothy Dye reported.

April 8--Officers Hobert Capps and Timothy Dye responded to the report of three juveniles in the back yard of a vacant house. They contacted one of the juveniles, who said the home was owned by relatives. No crime was committed, the officers reported, and the juveniles left the area.

April 8--Officers Keith Goodall and Dwight Wilkes checked the welfare of a resident.

April 8--Officer Dwight Wilkes assisted the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office with a rollover injury accident at 11700 N. Greenwich. He assisted EMS until the sheriff’s deputy arrived and took custody of the scene. Two patients were treated, the officer reported, and one of them was sent by LifeWatch to Wesley Hospital.

April 7--Capt. Dale Coffman checked the welfare of an identified man at 110 W. 61st North. He was sleeping and everything was OK.

April 7--Officer Michael Kingsford responded to a 911 hang-up call at 5133 N. Primrose. Everything was OK.

April 7--Officer Michael Kingsford reported arresting and booking Eric F. Sims for driving while his license was suspended at 6400 N.W. Parkview. Sims also ran a stop sign at Denver and West Parkview, leading to the traffic stop, the officer reported.

April 7--A truck driven by William Bauer struck a large curb, rupturing the fuel tank and oil pan, at 6115 N. Air Cap Drive, Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh reported. The truck leaked 50 to 70 gallons of diesel, the officer reported. County fire and hazmat responded.

April 7--Jason Halton reported the theft of a DeWalt hammer drill and bits valued at $350 from a storage closet at Best Western, 915 E. 53rd North. Sgt. Henry Spurlock was the reporting officer.

April 7--Sgt. Henry Spurlock assisted a citizen.

April 7--Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to a false alarm at Echo Hills golf course, 800 E. 53rd North.

April 7--Sgt. Henry Spurlock checked on a residence at 4616 N. Hydraulic, #805. A window screen had been bent from the inside by a large dog, the officer reported, and the window had not been pried.

April 7--Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh checked on three suspicious men in a truck at 915 E. 53rd North. William Bauer was arrested and booked on a Sedgwick County warrant, the officer reported.

April 7--Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh reported recovering a license tag belonging to Brian Smith at 915 E. 53rd North. He also reported finding a marijuana pipe belonging to an unknown person.

April 7--Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh and Officer Keith Goodall contacted three suspicious people in the parking lot at 915 E. 53rd North. Officer Goodall reported that while searching David J. Hayden, he located two Lortabs and two other unidentified pills. The suspect told the officer the Lortabs allegedly belonged to his wife and the other pills came from a stranger, the officer reported. Hayden was booked into county jail.

April 6--Sgt. Henry Spurlock assisted a motorist with changing a tire in the 800 block of East 61st North.

April 6--Officer Timothy Dye and Sgt. Henry Spurlock responded to a request to contact a cab driver who was transporting two passengers, one of whom was intoxicated, at 6223 N. Broadway. There was no disturbance, the officers reported, and the cab continued to its destination.

April 6--Sgt. Henry Spurlock and officer Michael Kingsford responded to the report of a suspicious character in the Kechi Cemetery. An identified 16-year-old male was running around in the cemetery, the officers reported, and was interviewed and allowed to leave the area.

April 6--Sgt. Gavin Anspaugh responded to the report of a semi tractor striking a curb, rupturing the oil pan and fuel tank. About 60 gallons of fuel spilled onto the roadway and into the storm drain, the officer reported. The county fire department and hazmat team responded.
